My favourite shot from last night. "Better" ones are here http://cloudtogroundimages.com/2014/03/ ... g-at-last/ but this one was the coolest to capture, out near Serpentine, the rain lashing down, and CG's smashing all around me. Taken through the windshield with my camera balanced on the wheel and the rain and wiper getting in the way!

Maaate! That's a ripper shot! Can we share that on the WAWG FB page?

Some awesome pics guys!
We got absolutely nothing down here and having just watched the radar animation it appears that your forcefield has settled itself right over Donnybrook. Everything dissipated or slid to the SE just as it got here

Today's sounding. Bit of a cap on things but forced lifting should crack it.

I was out walking today and the tiny forecasters (ants) were very busy. Some nests seem to be getting ready to release the hounds er drones and a new queen.
I would not mind 10 mm+++ of precipitation.

Loving the back to back to back storm forecasts.
Was just outside and noticed a large bank of cloud coming in from the NW, streaming off the cyclone out near Christmas Isl i'm guessing. The 512 radar has widespread light precip coming in too.

Looking mighty ominous out west on the sat pic with all the cloud. Last few days have been interesting, loads of cloud development all over the show, but not much to show for it in terms of rainfall. Could use a decent drop to kick off the wet season in exchange for the high humidity we've been enduring.
Re: Much Ado About March 2014
I refuse to believe that lot of rain coming in on the radar until I feel it on my face!!

Absolutely Pete. As mentioned, it wasn't the most technical perfect photo, but it hopefully gives folks that "holy s***!" feeling that I got when it hit the ground.

Your not the only one

Re: Much Ado About March 2014

Active line approaching the coast.
Throwing a few CG's

Visually, it appears to moving quite slow and if anything rainfall intensity seems to be lessening. However when this reaches the warm land it might go off bit more.
Pretty sure the radar shows it approaching steadily, but yeah, observation of it seems different

Seems to be drifting SE'ly some of the metro might be in for a decent shower. But then again it might do the good old, stall and fizzle just off the coast. Would be great to settle the dust.

Re: Much Ado About March 2014
Bit more than Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms imo? Forecast should be Few Showers possible storm rather than Chance of Storm.

Re: Much Ado About March 2014
BOM's idea was for 0.2mm tonight and up to another 1mm tomorrow. Mmmm...we'll have to see. Radar looks a little more impressive than that..

Reports of sprinkles in Kwinana. Looks like we people north of the river may be missing out, the band is disintegrating as it nears the coast

Perth is going to look like a Hollywood disaster movie if this gets here.
