The Planets align

Postby Fu Manchu » Fri May 13, 2011 5:59 am

Looks pretty cool in the east this morning. Mercury, mars, Jupiter and Venus clearly visible in alignment. (I think its Venus)

They've been there for a few mornings.

When I looked before there was a satellite cruising off into the NE

Yeah I've noticed the stars/planets over the last few mornings. Looked good this morning. Apparently the International space station joined in with the alignment (Must have been the satellite you saw Fu).

Tonight will be the best night to view the conjunction of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter.
