Hi all,

It's the first anniversary of the EF5 Moore, OK tornado.

Image

pretty unreal watching an EF5 tear up the suburb, i still remember hearing the noise of it and the sirens going and then the sirens cutting out, seeing lots of shredded debris and thinking of people being affected by it :(

Mel got a pic of the radar image from hannah's lappy during the chase (our position is the grey dot/circle):

Image

She did a blog of the whole chase/holiday trip and here is the account of what we experienced on the day: http://thefirsttimestormchaser.tumblr.c ... e-oklahoma

This video has gone absolutely viral - I've seen in on the news and in just about every online newsfeed I get, including APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day)!

It was around 3000 when I followed your link - it's over 9.5 million now. Way to go!

Wow. Like two angry giants striding over the landscape. What an amazing thing to witness. I suppose the chasers were lucky that they weren't rain-wrapped? They seemed to be able to chase and them quite safely with such a good view.

Nice, was that a tornado warned cell?

Looks like the tor season is pretty much over, now comes the hurricane season!
