128mm of glorious rain in Denham so far, twice as much as Carnarvon

Re: TC Olwyn - (March 11 2015 onward)
Ollie had a bit of dance around overnight which has nudged its path a little more inland. Not sure what to expect in Perth now - these things usually turn out to be more wind than rain.

It's very difficult to see what's going on close to Geraldton. The town itself has only had 8mm, but just inland a town has had 92mm. It does look, and I am presuming that the radar is not working up there. Because it looks like there is nothing more than a bit of drizzle.

Well if the rainfall stats are correct its not drizzle as suddenly Geraldton has had 38mm of rain. Anyone from up there confirm.

Well, it's gone back to 8mm, somehow I am not trusting the rainfall figures

I noticed the same thing when it passed carnarvon too. Perhaps the wind stuffs everything up?

The bulk of the moisture looks to have detached and headed inland, is ex TC Olwyn now

Yes, I suspect the next bom forecast for Perth will be significantly downgraded in its estimates compared to the last one.
Re: TC Olwyn - (March 11 2015 onward)
Not expecting any rain today for Perth unless showers and storms develop from the remains this afternoon.
Only have to look at the satpic loop to confirm that.
If TC Olwyn didnt stall to the north of Geraldton then it be nice and rainy now. Instead we only have light cloud cover and the sun is out also its quite humid.

The current heat could spark thunderstorms. Temperatures are already well over what was expected. Could be an interesting few hours, expecting the forecast to change for sure.

Well... as I thought... that was a fizzer! That dry air really works.
People argue, Nature acts.
