Weather term explanations for forecasting

Postby brayden » Fri Mar 15, 2013 8:37 am

Hi all,

This may have been posted before, not sure lol.

Weather forecasts and warnings have to compress a lot of information into standardised, brief messages. Forecast and warning weather terms represent the more detailed definitions provided here: http://www.bom.gov.au/info/wwords/

Go through the tabs (Weather elements, Time, Wet or Dry etc.) to see the detailed explanations. Eg. its interesting to see what percentages are used between sunny, mostly sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, overcast.

cheers :)
