Stormy Spring 2016

Postby adamD » Thu Sep 01, 2016 12:27 am

One of my favourite seasons minus the hayfever. Winter starts to wrap up while we start to see the trough based thunderstorms and the start of Storm Chasing season.

Discuss Spring weather here.

Love spring also,
The cold nights start to warm up, but the big heat is sill 3 or 4 months away.

It looks like there may be some storm activity on the trough coming though on Sunday?

And it did feel like 40, a very nice and warm 40....

Looking forward to some spring storms. The winter ones were generally disappointing :(

Had internet problems here lately due to slow sync speeds and drop outs....could be NBN related as the build construction is suppose start Q4 2016 here.

Being in build prep since march this year.

NBN fixed wireless is already here but not in the fixed wireless coverage area. The area i'm in will be getting FTTN.

Adsl2+ off net via iinet @ 13mbps current connection speed.

Anyway rant over and hope for more spring like weather.

NBN is hit and miss, it can be very fast and only barely faster than ADSL2. Otherwise it's on par with ADSL2. It's always best to sign up on NBN but keep your ADSL connection for a month or two and go with who you find the best. I get 15Mbps on ADSL2 and its damn fast compared to the slow 4Mbps I had in Stirling. I can stream 4K netfilx aswell as HD netflix on the other TV at the same time. Uploads are still slow as but the only downer. My area is due to commence work around xmas.

First summer type setup could be next week around the 2nd November with both GFS and ACCESSG agreeing on some type of LOW forming in the trough near the west coast and that will spark some thunderstorms around the northern SW division. Let's hope it happens as I miss driving in the country.
