Thought I'd better get a new thread happening for February although the next week is looking pretty uneventful.

Just looked at the satpic for this evening, while following a flight from Syd-Per this evening, was wondering why they went so far south into the bight. Looks like a classic jetstream (seen in the cloud streaming East). Couple of the flights went as high as 40,000ft, obviously to get over the jetstream? Curious to know how fast the winds were in it? Anyone know of links to such data?
People argue, Nature acts.
