we had the same very low cloud here in Albany, base of which was was around 50 - 100 metres
left for work early in the morning thinking I was in fog, got down to lower levels and came out in the clear
was some light rain as well

Today's cold front has been a much better rain producer than I was expecting. The front is still looking quite good on Perth radar as it passes through Toodyay and Northam.

At my house the rain gauge has 8.5 mm, my nephews rain gauge in Greenwood has 4.5 mm.

It seems to me we some "mild evil disturbed ants(*)" affecting Perth and other parts of WA.

Overnight there has been 2 mm of rain in Marangaroo.. In addition I also heard rumbles of thunder. Never saw any sparks during the time I spent outside.

(*) Mid level disturbance

There's an active storm near Albany at the mo.

Also I think there might be a small cell moving in from the NW toward Perth metro.
Not much on radar but interesting winds on it.

Another interesting note was Mike Beasley spotted a surface temp of 29ºC on this morning's aerological at Perth AP but the nearest recorded temp at AP was 24ºC at the time.

We went to Dwellingup over the weekend. Our arrival coincided with the start of the rain. It started off as a light drizzle which allowed us to unpack the vehicle. The rain built up over about 30 minutes to become steady heavy. It kept raining for at least 4 hours and the ground which was bone dry had water flowing downhill. A total of 19.2 mm was recorded by the AWS in Dwellingup.

On Saturday morning we had a solitary shower about 10.45 am which resulted in 0.6 mm in the rain gauge for Dwellingup.
