Looking at Weatherzone Satellite/Lightning there is a large line of thunderstorms on what looks to be the leading edge of the rain band. The front and Low look very impressive too.

This is very strange. The radar appears as if we're having torrential rain but in true perth style it's only spitting a little. What is wrong with this place that we can't just get on with it. Sydney or brisbane get a radar like that and would have 100mm already. We need something decent from this weekend because yet again one of these massive highs is coming over and going to dry us up for another two weeks. Dam i had to water my lawn the other day. Perth has truly frustrating weather. Bom tells us how bad it's going to be and more often than not its a fizzer.

Cheer up folks I think the atmosphere has wet itself now  and there seems to be a decent band coming in now.

My prediction worked perfectly ;)
though I still think really big falls aren't gonna happen

Getting steady rain here. I might go for a drive through the hills given if this cloud cover stays then it will struggle to get back over 10c in Bickley. Pretty awesome temperature swing of 20c+ over most of the night to the low teens during the day.
