A STW is out for areas around Coorow. Apparently 160mm has fallen in less than 24 hours, although nearby places like Badgingarra haven't had close to that amount. Faulty AWS?

Guess it's not an impossible figure, but pretty unlikely I would think. Hopefully someone can fill us in.

Hey those little storms coming in now look like they've got some punch! Hold onto your hats if you're SOR (south of the river)!

Got 38mm in my rain gauge to 9.00am. A further 8mm has been received since 9.00am.

A couple of Coldies(Cold Air mass thunderstorms) have gone past just to the NW of me during the Austrian F1 Grand Prix evening.

Perfect night for sleeping under the stars in Jandakot. It's already down to 4.2C.

I have a dream, a dream where the average barometer reading in July 2015 was under 1016 hpa.

Any chance we will experience a winter this year? One system since the middle of May. Usually if there are periods of no rain the nights get very cold and it at least feels like winter that way. Not this year, the days and nights are more skin to late April. We broke the highest average monthly temperature for June and this month is looking similar. X(

We had two nights last week of 0.0 and 0.4. It was feeling pretty wintery those nights/mornings. There'll be more winter weather soon enough Aussie. Winter often doesn't get started til July.
