Marangaroo got 12 mm from the front on Sunday.

It looks like there probably wont be any rain until at least Saturday 16 May 2015,

Saw the forecast for the week ahead last night on ABC. 27c in May? Hope we don't have another dry cold winter like about 5-6yrs ago? Guess that's El Nino kicking in?
Whats it going to be like in 20yrs time when climate change is kicking into a higher gear!

Looking at various models it looks like there is potential for some rain in The South West Land Division (SWLD) on Sunday 17 May 2015.

I am so over dry and and sunny days. The SWLD needs some good rainfall totals to keep the winter crops and pasture growing nicely. It also would a dam fine thing for the reservoirs.

My nephew is both happy and unhappy that showers are forecast for Saturday.

Happy because rain is expected and unhappy because he is going to the football at Subiaco Oval on Saturday evening. His seat is exposed to showers coming from the SW.

I think the chances of a Severe Weather Warning being issued for the system due on the weekend is quite high.

70 - 100 mm good more than 100 mm would be gooderer. Fall of 20 mm + in the wheat belt would be nice as well.

Don't like being a wet blanket, but we do see forecasts like this around the break of the season quite often. I have learned to be a little cautious. Still, this one does look more promising than most, and I'm all for a good deluge! Might need to bring the brolly for my son's Auskick on Saturday...

Let me expand (and slightly adjust) what I said on my last post and stick my neck out. I doubt we'll get much rain in the daylight hours Saturday (systems like this at this time of year tend to peak just off the coast, and this one is showing signs of this.) Then later on Sunday will be the wettest period.

Hector Pascal is getting a bit depressed now with the Perth barometer at 1022.6 hpa and falling.
