I think its called a 'lack' of 'significant' weather... I'm hangin out for the next lot of thunderies... but not holding my breath, that last lot was great!
Next even will probably be Cyclones up north - looks to me like the monsoon is re firing back up around the Kimberley's so hopefully we'll see action soon.

There is a large group of virgins moving over the northern suburbs this evening. Actually the echoes on Perth radar are mostly virga with very few drops reaching the ground because the air beneath the clouds is dry according to the duty forecaster at about 5.35 pm on 720 6WF.

Lots of cloud streaming off what was almost a cyclone near Christmas Island in the last few days.

Seems to have cleared away today. Lots of blue sky.

High dew point yesterday morning combined with a ridiculous humidity. From memory Swanbourne had 90% plus humidity with a DP around 20ºC

Also noticed a low forming in the medium range forecast from BoM. Sitting over the Kimberley.

BoM seems to favour TC Lam wandering into central NT and dissipating. EC still favouring it being a rain baring feature into WA. I'd hedge my bets with the BoM's run I think.

I do remember a cyclone from a few years back that did the gulf of Carpentaria tour
( may have even stated in the Coral sea )
tropical low over the Kimberly
reformed into cyclone, battered the Pilbarra
befive coming down the west coast
coming inland somewhere around Perth
went north of here
exited somewhere around Esperance ...
last seen cruising past Taz

I remember Cyclone Steve did bring a decent thunderstorm to Perth. The downpour from it was like tropical, it was very heavy rain. Funny how I still can remember it from 15 years ago

We got a few drops in Joondalup yesterday.

Could almost count them.

Some of the high cloud coming in from the west nw developed enough to have precip reach the ground.
