Fantastic Flangs February (Bunuru) 2015

Postby silvercloud » Mon Feb 02, 2015 11:39 am

New month new thread. Can't believe it's February already! Hoping those of us further south get some decent stormage so long as there's rain with it. Way too many fires for dry storms.

Not sure if we are to use this thread or continue with January given all the information is already there from the past couple of days/what's happening at the moment... Either way Lancelin cell is gathering steam and is lightning active!

My max ended up 35.2C so we got the heating. The anvil of the Severe Storm north of Perth has moved over now so its cooled to 31C.

The storm in Forrestfield looked more dramatic before it got here. We managed to slip between two cells by the looks of things.

Yanchep cell has intensified a little and is throwing sparks and a few grumbles. Not looking nearly as strong as the earlier cell however.

^^ Nice!

That cell really died just as it passed Yanchep. Temps starting to creep back up, see if that helps in the coming hours. Gero getting a fair bit more action that us at present.

Heard 2cm max.

Keep an eye out around Eneabba right now. Some powerful storms forming there. Temps are still low 30s around there aswell. This may affect Perth this evening.

Getting steady flashes and rumbles from north of here in Carramar...is that radar for real or is there something else going on? seems rather 'explosive' to me....
