Despite all the storms and showers in many suburbs in last 34 hours the rain gauge at my house has recorded precisely and exactly 0 mm.

That means the dry spell for Marangaroo from November 29 2014 is now 62 days (1+31+30).

This morning I am doing some rain making by putting on a load of (rinsing) washing.

Did they install a second hand one into WA? One has to wonder!

Maybe they did.
Either way, I reckon you could almost get a Toyota serviced with the BoM maintenance budget.

I am a failure at making it rain. Two days in a row(Friday 30 Jan and Saturday 31 Jan) I put washing to dry on the line when the conditions were unsettled. On both days I failed to produce a single drop of rain.

Severe thunderstorm warning issued again today.
No doubt we will expect one to be issued tomorrow.

Insane CAPE and LI for our region.
Not often these figures show below the tropics

We had "reticurain" again this morning.

For Marangaroo we are now at 63 days since the last measurable rain.

Got a little bit of pea-sized hail. First thing to fall from sky the apart from overheated birds since September.

Well I've heard of one report (via friend on FB) of Golf-ball sized hail up in Geraldton. But the Radar loop up there doesnt seem to be working well.

Any idea what suburb they are in? I got 2cm hail and around 15mm of rain in 15 mins

Also I made a short video of the shelf cloud just before it hit

Power's down in some parts of the town, so no pics for now. But the storm hit the centre of town it seems. Got a few decent dents in their car. Looks like that small storm is still tracking down the coast - wonder if it'll make it as far as Perth?

Video of storm before it hit. It was still rapidly developing so I can imagine when it hits Dongara and so on it will be more severe.
