Storms NW of metro at present and storms all over WA like white on rice.

Looking at this mornings info there should be some pretty lively storms around this afternoon and evening. Would not be surprised to see a severe weather warning issued. Potential for hail and intense downpours.

Visible lightning and a little thunder up here at the moment from a cell strengthening off Yanchep, 10.30am.

Lightning radar going off like a frog in a sock just off the coast too.

At work. Won't be able to see it kick off in the metro. But I'll be out of work in time for the start of the lightning party. So that's good.

Beautiful. Nice visible CG's here still at the moment; loving it :)

Edit: Check the cell sitting off Ocean Reef at the moment, headed south.

Sitting at school listening to the thunder while analysing song lyrics... Not how I want to be spending my afternoon!

Looks like Lawn Bowls practice could be cancelled today. It's raining moderately with frequent sparks.

Just went outside and it looks like another storm is imminent. Will definitely get Alexander Heights and possibly Marangaroo.

Guys heads up, cell quickly intensifying coming through Yanchep headed directly for the Metro. May contain hail. Black as anything just north/northeast of here.

I'm not quite sure how to read the doppler yet, but looking at the Yanchep cell it seems to have been showing some rotation.

I'm probably wrong though...

That cell fizzed kind of quickly. Sure did look menacing coming over, enough for me to get on and put a warning out with my half arsed knowledge. Something about it had me concerned.

Its not the one in the outer northern suburbs we have to watch out for. There is least 2 big celled Thunderstorms north towards Lancelin that could become dangerous later on.

Adam I believe said storm number one is moving toward our doorstep. The view to the north here in Clarkson is starting to look very ominous.
