Well after being stuck under the Mt Lawley subway (bloody Tuscon dropped a connecting bolt to LH front wheel - one went left the other right, & no-go), I missed most of the first storm, but glad to see we might be getting a little more this evening? Two nice (but small) cells heading our way! (Perth that is).
People argue, Nature acts.

I ended up heading NE, got about 30km away from Toodyay in the end and headed back toward the action in Perth around 5pm. Saw the aftermath of the hail in the northern suburbs. Got a few shots from some of the lookouts and also drove through the aftermath of the hail in the northern suburbs, ice and stripped leaves everywhere!

Interested to see what happens over the next 12 or so hours, rotation is starting to become evident on the Perth radar and this - http://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wi ... 30.31,2489

Solid rain here in South Perth for the last hour, getting heavier.

Have just been looking at that.
Winds at 750 moving almost opposite to those at 800.
Not in a high shear area but Perth is on the fringe of one.
Nice spot of convergence inland too.
High shear near Kal etc.

Little white dot looks interesting. Not a missing pixel. Looks like something 3d or the start of some lightning maybe. I have had quite a few storm photos and one non storm feature similar round balls to varying sizes and distance. Not something I noticed when taking them. Especially one in SA.
