Wednesday evening could be my first spring chase in the wheatbelt :)

Shear is fantastic around the LCL. Normally storms tend to stall when they come over the scarp but there's a nice strong patch that will push them toward Perth.

Also note that upper level low well west of the state.

Yeah I've noticed that recently the 'Storm forecast' chart shows next to nothing Australia-wide. Must have changed some parameters or something. Whatever it is, I would go with the other charts on there and ignore that one.

We'll need to hit 31 before the cap well and truly breaks. But I reckon forced lifting from that low pressure trough should be enough.

Storms will be fairly high based, at around 7,000ft. High CAPE levels too, but a relatively dry upper atmosphere means little rain and (hopefully) lots of branchy CG's.

Damaging winds are a minor risk with shear being the way it is.

There are quite a few out chasing.
They will be covering plenty of km's today.

Storms into the northern Wheatbelt and also off from Jurien.

Tracking South at the moment.
Best we should get is a light show off the coast. Always great for photos though.

I headed out this afternoon chasing some conola fields, sunset or storms. Came home with nothing unfortunately :(

I'm pretty much confined to a windowless box for the last few days so what's going on out there right now?
Anything off the coast?
