At this distance it looks Saturday will be sloppy. It looks like there is potential for a severe weather warning as well.

I'm hoping Friday is a good day for flying. I'm off to Kuala Lumpur for a week with school.

Looks like Friday will have light to moderate NW winds according to MetEye.

Front is looking quite nice on the latest satellite photo. Saturday looks like it will be a great day to watch the AFL grand final.

I was just wondering whether there would be a severe weather warning and behold there are two but neither affects the metro area;

SW Corner warning http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/warnings/severe.shtml

Gascoyne Goldfields warning http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/warnings/severe2.shtml

According to @tweetbusselton it's getting a bit gusty there.
Not really any wind gusts of note recorded though. Not to say higher gusts aren't happening near by. Bound to be.

Gusty wind with a few showers so far here. Tomorrow morning should be interesting down this way. Wonder if the Preston River will flood again.

Thankfully that front didn't pack the punch that was expected. Not sure the Preston River would handle a lot more big rain events.

Time to start thinking of names for the October thread...
