Saw some good photo's of the Avon Descent, with a quote of highest water level in a decade. Was wondering how good the inflows in the past few weeks had done. Looked really cold too brrrrrrrr ..

might not be a completely inaccurate topic title... next decent rain event doesn't look to occur until the 14th or 15th

4 mm to 9.00 am.

It seems to me that rain is due to

"a mild evil disturbed ant with moisture from a topical sauce." :lol: :lol: :lol:

I experienced being incast earlier this morning but now it has cleared to bright and sunny.

incast = in the cloud/fog

This is bad. I don't want to look at the forecast these days. A high pressure system with 1044 hpa pressure. We don't get that in summer ever. Any good July did is now going to be wasted this August. Any chance of us catching up with annual rainfall has been dashed. We'll need to start watering our lawns soon the way this month is going.

Geraldton broke the 70 year old August max record at 31.7c. Crazy considering it's 10 days into August. Kalbarri also broke the record with 33c.

Where is the rain/cold??

I know, feels like winter has been switched off.

Chance of light showers or thunderstorms over the next couple of days about the metro/escarpment. Almost a typical spring setup with NE winds and a trough lurking.

There appears as if there is some virginal rain on Perth radar.

We tend to get those strong 1040+ highs in autumn. Never seen one this strong in August let alone one as strong as 1044hpa. Least though winter is back in 4-5 days time. Not a huge fan of warm weather this time of the year. We have Sept/Oct/Nov for that.

We have leaks, a few sky leaks have developed. There is the odd rain drop falling.

Ended up with a whole 1 mm in my rain gauge.
