Perth will get above average rainfall with tomorrow's system to come (Around 84.6mm atm, avg. is 87.6mm; taken from BOM climate data online).

No doubt other places will too, some have already lol eg. Bunbury

Chance of thunderstorms from tomorrow through til Sunday at this stage, looking like that low should loiter south of the state for a couple days. Bring it on! :)

I think the tropical and subtropical moisture feed will be cut off ahead of this system.

If anyone has seen the whereabouts of the wind this week, let me know. We have a mountain of washing trying to get dry. No breeze and its getting tough.

You could hang it out tonight going to be windy but the rinse cycle is going to be very active. =)) =)) =))

The cold pool of air has already moved NW of Perth enough to break that flow of tropical moisture in ahead of the system. That doesn't happen too much.

Severe Weather Warning
for damaging winds
for people in the Lower West, South West, South Coastal and Great Southern forecast districts

Issued at 3:04 pm WST on Thursday 22 May 2014.

For People in parts of WA southwest of a line Jurien Bay to York to Albany. This includes people in, near or between the Perth metropolitan area, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, York, Narrogin, Katanning and Albany.
Weather Situation

A cold front will move over the southwest of the state during Thursday night and extend east across the South West Land Division during Friday morning.

Thunderstorms and showers associated with the front may bring DAMAGING WINDS to 100 kilometres per hour and could cause DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY. Heavy rainfall may also bring LOCALISED FLOODING.

This is typical weather for this time of the year but winds may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:

Store or weigh down loose objects such as outdoor furniture.
Have an emergency kit with a battery operated radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit.
Ensure pets and animals are in a safe area.
Move vehicles under cover.
Boat owners should securely moor their boats.
Campers should find shelter away from trees, power lines, storm water drains and streams.

If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 pm WST Thursday.

Perth Weather Live are saying that the weather is going to deteriorate from about 7.00 pm. Or as I would put it the faeces and fan interaction will start about then.
