Yup, still had the blinds down at 7am and saw the flash then heard the bang here in Yokine, but that was it. Still, was lovely to go to sleep to the sound of RAIN falling on the roof!

A nicely damp 46mm up here in the NE hills as well. And now the sun is out, first time in days.
2013 rainfall: 910.1mm
August: 138.7 mm to 30th 2014 YTD: 687.7 mm

I ended up with 38mm here.. No downpours, just good soaking rain.
2006 - 543.5mm, 2007 - 701.5mm, 2008 - 833.5mm, 2009 - 579mm, 2010 - 631.5mm, 2011 - 872.5mm, 2012 - 770mm

Cheers Fu , received 23mm from station overnight but got 35mm in the manual gauge . I take the manual as a accurate measure lol

We are in pretty good agreement, within half a mm anyway :)

Yeah we are very likely to see a El Niño event beginning in the next couple of months. More likely to be a medium event than a super 1997/8 biggie. It will almost certainly bring a dry second half of the year to Southern and Eastern Australia. We could do with a wet May to July period here in Perth this year.
