Much Ado About March 2014

Postby Blue Skies » Sat Mar 01, 2014 1:23 pm

Well, it's March, supposedly autumn, and it's HOT! :ymtongue:

Anywho, I'm off to Sydney for a week tomorrow, so maybe something interesting will happen while I'm away. I usually seem to miss interesting cyclone events but I don't see any on the models at the moment.

Feel free to suggest a name for the thread. Much Ado About March would be my suggestion.

Awesome Brayden. We used to love running through them when we were growing up in the Pilbara.

Cool vid Brayden, like your quips along the way :D

Okay probably stating the obvious here..

I've just been looking at the rainfall figures for Perth. I knew it had been dry but I now realise its been crazy dry!!

Just 4 days of rain since 20 Oct 2013.. 30.4mm

20/Oct/13 - 18.2mm
30/Nov/13 - 10.2mm
1/Dec/13 - 1.8mm
16/Jan/14 - 0.2mm
Nothing in February

Got to 40.1 in Pearce today :ymsigh:

How about 'Mad March', 'Devils in March' 'Damn March' (Always damn humid!).
I think Perth now has Geraldton's climate of 30+ yrs ago (and its all shuffled on down the coast)

Have to say that the Northern Suburbs Force Field Destruction Squad has certainly been effective this Summer!

I afraid the Lower West storm deflection field has been working perfectly. There has been no testing of the Northern Suburbs forcefield for quite a while. We have to find it first then destroy it.

I see that Serpentine radar is currently being repaired.

This is unusual as it usually occurs when there is something to see on the radar.

I predict there will be a major storm in the period between March 27 and April 5 which will cause a huge swell. This will mean my nephew can't go out from Kalbarri in my boat for a few days.

I am not sure whether it will be tropical or polar in origin.
