The name for April 2012 has not been announced yet. So many offerings but no decision.

28 day rainfall chance for the Perth area. :D

Definitely an autumn/winter pattern. Highs are moving north, westerly flow is moving north, allowing regular fronts to affect WA.

Perth cools after hot March:

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/news/pert ... arch/21256

Rob Sharpe, Saturday March 31, 2012

This March has been one of the hottest on record for Perth, however a cold front that came through on Thursday night has brought a cool end to the month.

Yesterday's top was the coldest Perth day since November, reaching only 23 degrees. Today isn't likely to be much warmer with a forecast of merely 25 degrees. These below average March temperatures are far cooler than the rest of the month, which is likely to average 31.5 degrees.

This month is likely to be around two degrees warmer than Perth's typical March. This makes it the second warmest day-time average since 1978. The hottest March on record was last year when temperatures often soared into the 30's with a summery 31.9 degrees average.

Perth has also been very dry, however a couple of very light showers during the last two nights has splashed 0.4mm on the otherwise dry month. This is only the beginning of the rain for Perth as a few showers are likely each day from Monday with the chance of heavier showers on Wednesday when another cold front moves through.

The start of April should also be much cooler than March due to the cloud and showers that will dominate the week. Temperatures are expected to be around the mid to low 20's through the week.

Yeah, the SW'lies would of been responsible for that.

Just got back from a walk... I noticed a lot of people had fires going. It's not really that cold.
