First day up north today.. Clouds white fluffy early only to turn into nice slow moving thunder storms.. Some of the best landscape I've seen up here Image

Strange to think Perth has had 118.2mm this summer, opposed to Geraldton with 6.8mm

32C and extreme UV rating of 11 today. Sun umbrella totally justified.

Next week looks worse... :ymsigh:

I was thinking of 'Mega Mammatus March' but after your convo with Russell Woolf, I reconsidered...

We can with that as well :) I don't think you've had one of your titles used before so lets do it :)

Clouds building up, looking to weak to support a storm. Currently 36, no sea-breeze in sight.

Haha we did actually, I named an October one in 2010. But thanks ;)

:D Hopefully we get some mammatus clouds. I've seen them around Perth a lot, even just early in the morning when it's overcast but with little or no chance or rain. Sometimes they just mean nothing, but they are pretty.

Anyone up for a storm chase tonight? should fire up over the ocean around 9pm !!!! We have a mid level disturbance combining with a low and everything looks good from the latest soundings , very stable air with dew point at a nice 7 degree good moisture there! The cap is a whopping 43 degrees should break any minute now. We have no surface wind convergence but that doesn't matter, anyways upper level winds are not that strong but should steer theses monster supercells tonight. Who's up for a chase?????? :P

It's March now, so shouldn't we be posting in the March thread? Image
