BOM are expecting the Low near Christmas Island to form into a tropical Cyclone later today or early tomorrow.

for the period until midnight WST Friday 12 April 2013.

Existing Cyclones in the Western Region:

Nil.

Potential Cyclones:

A low (17U) was located near 11.5 S 102.4 E at 0000 UTC Tuesday, that is about
380 kilometres west southwest of Christmas Island, moving south at 9 knots. The
low is forecast to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 12 to 24 hours.
Refer to latest High Seas warning and Forecast Track Map for tropical low 17U.

Likelihood of this system being a tropical cyclone in the Western Region on:
Wednesday High
Thursday High
Friday Mod

Tim may feed some moisture on the West coast later on during the week.

I'm bad I missed TC Tim.

The system near Christmas Island has been named and is called Victoria.

t does not look like she is going to get anywhere near the coastline or become a severe system.

I am surprised how quickly the Perth forecast has changed for the next week, due to TC Victoria.

That said, hopefully the humidity won't be too high and it will be enjoyable and that the weekend stays wet so that I can enjoy it!
