Sky is looking pretty feral to the NW of Albany
cloud is building up to the N and NE
BoM radar has red and orange coming in from Denbarker ( NW of Alabny )
WZ lightning tracker showing sparks out towards Walpole
could be an interesting arvo

a pic Pete caught
Image
and just a comment
what isn't shown is that to the right ( out of the photo )
was a considerable horizontal length of the lightning strike
before it decided to head for the ground which Pete caught

today has been sunny and warm albeit a little breezy

Quite warm in Albany this morning
here ( Bayonet Head ) it is 33.6 degrees
31.6 degrees, 35 % humidity, wind NNW 25 km/hr at the airport

WZ lightning tracker has quite a bit of lightning off the South Coast
earlier this morning you could really see it building up before moving south
at the moment is is relatively clear all round except to the south

probably the strong wind blew it there
we are still getting gusts to over 50 km/hr ....
I'm glad I took the time to batten down the hatches here
our trampoline is being held down by pickets and ratchet tie downs

seems to be easing slowly out there with occasional fine periods
but still getting strong gusts and showers
not supposed to ease properly until Sunday when wind goes round to the SE
