NT tropical low

Postby Fu Manchu » Fri Feb 26, 2010 5:50 pm

How big is this puppy!

very impressive on the sat loops and just engulfing such a massive portion of Australia.

Like subtle, slow moving tropical low you'd sometimes expect to form into a cyclone if it were over water. Of course conditions are not very favourable for that to happen but it is a heap of rain under that!

The inlaws - outlaws in Darwin say that it's been dumpin down torrential rain for 2 days now. Some areas have had 300 - 400mm in 2 days, not bad when a few days ago Darwin was on track for it's lowest February rainfall on record. It doesn't rain - it pours.
