Here we go for April nearly :)

I guess I'll go on record about a dream I had last night.
I dreamt that a cyclone made a dead straight line for the Kimberly or was it the chunk of land that Darwin sits on? oh well, it came from out the west/ NW dead straight line and was out south of Java.

Then I look at the BoM this morning and we have a cyclone just north of Darwin heading west. I wonder if the low moves much further west then turns and heads for the NT/ Kimberly coast?

What's that? Tell him he is dreaming you say

I thought for sure that there'd be some rain coming from that cloud mass moving over you guys.

What are on about Vinny?

If you want to BoM bash maybe take a few minutes out of your day to actually investigate your claims, or will that use too much bandwidth? :P :)

Maybe i should check which emoticon is which and preview before hand!

I meant this one instead 8)

Meaning

cool... as in "great" as in "neato" some rain for WA.

I should check posts before posting...

Seriously I have no gripes about the bom, yes they do get it wrong sometimes... but they do a great job :) and I have been known to go on about it... but I didn't check before posting :x and didn't even know what you were on about :? till i looked up at my post again and read it with that emoticon.

Ahh yeah blame the innocent little emoticon dude...

what rain outlook are you talking about anyway, the latest outlook I can find is the 3 month outlook issued a month ago, I didn't know the BoM did a monthly outlook?

Ahh cheers Vinny, looks like they've stopped linking to them from the media release page, they use the rainfall tab on these page for all their rainfall products now: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/watl/rainfall/pme.jsp.

Anyway being the dry season up there if any significant rain falls up there it would be fairly useless, probably more of a hinderance to farmers than anything else. I remember a few years back they had a really cold wet spell in June that caused a few headaches for folk up there. I think it also stuffed up filming of 'Australia' too, pity they could still go ahead though. ;)

How do you get used to 6 months of non- stop fine weather?

Are there still weather forecasters in the dry season on tv?

they would just be saying "the weather tomorrow will be fine" every night wouldn't they?

 Vinny ...Actually after stinking hot summers we all look forward to this time of the year, most people start exploring the country side instead of been inside with the aircons pumping. Its the best time of the year up here.Sure i would love it to rain but thats just the way it is up here.Im sure it will rain within that 6 months, might not be much but its better than none. But i leave in June so i wont be here to see it..
