Here is Chaser80's Lightning detector link
It's located in Floreat to the best of my knowledge and I hope you make use of it. :)

Does anyone know of any sites where you can access historical lightning loops? I am looking for a loop of lightning strikes in the Pilbara for a particular day in December 2013. I have a weatherzone pro membership, which only seems to be able to look 18 hours in the past.

No I don't think there is.
I know that GPATS who provide the service for Weather Zone, may be able to help though a fee may be required, but you could also just ask nicely :) They might help anyway :)
